Tired of Monopoly and Space Invaders? Want to do more than a simple game?
Then come to Murphy Mania 97, the biggest convention organised by
Murphy's Heroes ever, and a whole new world of games
and adventures will open to you.
At Murphy Mania, Murphy's Heroes, in collaboration with other Dutch and
foreign gaming clubs, organises many events, among which:
- Historical wargames, such as napoleonic land and sea battles, ancient, French and Indian war and World War II.
- NSTSB (Non Star Trek Space Battle)
- Games Workshop games, such as Necromunda, Warhammer Epic and Warhammer Fantasy Battle.
- Board games, such as Roborally, Tricky and Formula De.
- Roleplaying games, such as AD&D and Paranoia.
- Reenactement and Live roleplaying demonstrations.
- Painting competition.
- Collectable card games.
- Magic the Gathering tournament (Type II), first prize: Black Lotus.
- Dutch Championship DBM (Ancient Warfare).
- SF Megagame Encounter at Ephebe IV.
- Lots of stands.
- lots and lots and lots of participation games.
- Accomodation.
- Excursion.
Almost all games that are demoed are participation games. This means that this
convention is not only attended as a show, but that we will try to keep you
busy the whole day.
Saturday, September 27, 10.00 to 18.00 hours in Delfstede,
Phoenixstraat 66, Delft
Admission price Dfl 5,- (members Dfl 3,-)
Children under twelve can enter free when accompanied by an adult.
Directions
The convention place is the red building near the mill, close to the railway
line.
From Delft central station you can reach it by walking for about eight
minutes along the Phoenixstraat to the North, in the direction of The Hague.
The building will be on your right hand. You can also take tramline 1, there
is a stop in front of the building (ask for Schoolstraat).
If you are by car, take the A13 (Rotterdam - The Hague), use exit
'Delft noord', and follow the signs 'centrum'. At the traffic lights and
the tramline follow the road to the left. This road is first called the
Vrijnelandselaan, then the Wateringse vest, and later the Phoenixstraat.
The convention is to the left of the mill.
This year we organise a Type II tournament. The first price will be a
Black Lotus.
There are more smaller prices as well.
The tournament starts at 10.00 hours on the second floor.
Admission price is Dfl 10,- (including Dfl 5,- for the convention).

This competition is meant for any painted miniatures and dioramas we can think
of. More information on categories will be available on a later date.
Admission price is Dfl 2,50 per entry (excluding convention).
Categories are:
- Youth (up to 15 years)
- 15 mm units
- 20/25 mm units
- 20/25mm figures
- Dioramas
- Best of show
This tournament will probably be held on both Saturday, September 27, and
Sunday, September 28.
Admission price is Dfl 10,- (including Dfl 5,- for the convention).
For those of you who think think one day of gaming is not enough we organise a megagame, which will be held on Sunday, September 28. This is a single game with dozens of players.
Admission price is probably under Dfl 10,- (excluding convention).
This year we have made a deal with the four-star
MuseumHotel.
This hotel is at 2 minutes walking distance from Delftstede in the centre of Delft.
One-person room is Dfl 100,- per night.
Two-person room is Dfl 120,- per night. Third person is Dfl 17,50 extra.
